Atty. Rhys Cartwright-Jones:  I run a strong trial and appellate practice dedicated to criminal and business defense and with a niche in criminal-related immigration cases. Highlights include securing various acquittals at trial and reversals before the the State and Federal appeals courts, including acquittal of a recent sex crimes trial in whole, acquittal of the rape charge of a sex crimes indictment, and recent reversal of no fewer than a dozen sex and violent crimes convictions. Recently, a colleague and I had a death penalty case reduced to a probation sentence. Subsequent to that, a colleague and I secured an acquittal of death specifications and dismissal of aggravated murder charges in a capital trial. Looking to immigration issues, I have a solid track record of vacating criminal pleas and convictions in order to relieve non citizens of removal (deportation) orders. Looking to business defense, I have a history of dismissals and summary judgments, including representation of a business with a recent dismissal of a discrimination case that began the plaintiffs' demand of $300,000.00.  Prior to entering private practice, I was an assistant prosecutor.  I also have a background in civil litigation and public entities.
